EOYs are OVER!

like finally. zzz.

tough and gruelling two weeks it has been.
ok more than that, plus all that preparation and mugging. =/

weeks before the exam we'd already been mugging out at home or like.. meeting Hapsburgers at JEL to study. the type of study from morning to evening uhuh.
sounds extreme especially when we don't even take meals sometimes.
but ohwell, had fun amidst the tough study sessions. (:
crapping was really destressing sometimes.

on top of that, we would also go out after almost every paper and study together.
yanyi was forever MIA in these sessions so the study group evolved to mel, swee, toh nd me.
elijah would be around sometimes too. (:
we've had fruitful productive sessions as well as totally unproductive ones. ;D
but on the whole, we all see that Hapsburgers have really been putting in more effort in their exams. particularly the guys(as in like.. drastic contrast from before). haha.

though the examinations weren't on our side but it ain't totally gone yet.
let's just cross our fingers and pray for the best. [:
---

overall review of the papers?

Higher Chinese Paper 1
relatively do-able questions.
moderate level of difficulty.
though something happened but ohwhtever. =/
i've to put that down for now.

Language Arts Paper 1
expository essay required more thinking this time round.
not as lengleng as many had expected to be.
however, it was really considered a breeze. (:

Singapore Studies
lots of Merger and Separation and i didn't read up much bout it. =/
but guess what! the SBQs on M&S required almost 0% of content knowledge. haha
the SEQs were not too bad but i kind of didn't finish the Founding Fathers one.
even as i may say it's not a killer now, i guess my results are still gna be low, just like mid-yrs.

History
considerable higher level of difficulty.
SBQs on Hitler were rather fresh. haven't came across much similar ones before. especially the pictorial one -.-
SEQs needed a couple of ideas i didn't read up much on so i guess... yea.

Chemistry Paper 2
ha-ha.
a total killer. even the smart classes said it was tough.
gees. my A1's nvr gna come back. ):

Chemistry Paper 1
not much of a help to pull up the lousy scores from paper 2.
conclusion?: Chem Paper's a killer.

Mathematics Paper 1
i know i deserve a round of bashing just cos i said the paper was 'OK'.
but the only reason i said that was cos i tried to crap smth out for qns i couldn't do and managed to derive at smth k. not cos i'm sure i can get everything right or what.
so please, show sharmie some mercy [:

Language Arts Paper 2
mixed feelings :X
the MCQ part was totally crap. super easy since the passage was quite interpretable.
the reader response part took some time to convey clear ideas.
the literacy part was the worst. ):
i was struggling to find links amidst headache. zzz!

Higher Chinese Paper 2
total bullshit.
i guess i screwed it?
2hours for so many components. and i practically didn't finish one of those center pages can. T.T
don't you dare cry.
cos if you were one of those who thought the 90boxes were 80boxes, i have more right to cry.
afterall, i had like what? 91words. zzz
why are paragraphs 3&4 so difficult to compress!
URGH.

Physics Paper 1
one word: killer.
totally full of calculations and i couldn't think straight.
what was i thinking about? LOL. the definitions.
the only reason people would say it's easier is cos they are better at calculations.
sadly, i don't fit the criteria.

Physics Paper 2
better. at least i could attempt majority of the paper.
but by then, my brain was so occupied by agony that the definitions were half gone.
i defined atmospheric pressure as half of what i read can.
pffft :f

CID 3
not very difficult.
but i took too much time thinking bout Section A's question and wrote at length.
for Section B i actually said tht guy used DEDUCTIVE reasoning and explained using INDUCTIVE reasoning can. =/
like i totally mixed things up and thought deductive was what i wanted to express. (if you get what i mean)

Mathematics Paper 2
last paper.
should have been very happy about it being over.
but the start of it marked the end.
eight pieces of writing paper plus two sheets of graph paper.
you say die or not die.

plus i skipped MANY questions.
so i'm confirm plus chop dead le. =/
DIE.
---

see.
the agony of examinations.
so mugging proved to be not really as helpful anyway.
perhaps we should try to practise constant revision from now on.
but determination-wise?
hais. maybe when our moods have drifted back for studies ba.

for now, let's forget all the possible highlighted report slips and let loose ((:

squeaked.
