NPCC SERVICE DAY 2007

i love service day (:

ok. the day started well. except for the fact that i've not recovered from my list of illness yet =/ hahas. gathered in school and had a mass briefing. then we splitted up to various groups and did individual briefings.
i'm in group 4! :D
together with mingjie mummy, jnrs jixiang, oonhim and xinyi.
was supposed to be jovi at first. but oonhim wasn't rly comfortable with being the only girl from their squad there so we changed ppl from clarine's group. (though they didn't want jovi over either) but hey! he volunteered to swop. LOL. ._.
ok. tht's beside the point.

so we sat at the benches and talked abit about what to say later on and all.. i swear i have adorable juniors (: jixiang's rather quiet though. resembles yanyang in a way. (: the girls are more interactive & got quite a number of cute questions to ask :D

so at 9.45 we gathered up the bus and left for Telok Blangah Heights. (:
group 4 was assigned to block 47!
super mafan block. have a few stories with separations. had to make our way up and down lots of stairs. zzz. though a tiring task but we dutifully completed it. (:
encountered some really cute aunties along de way :D
we met super nice ones too. (: there was this aunty who insisted on offering us drinks.
ofcos there were scary ones. that opened the door and scared juniors off so either mummy or i did the talking. =/
hmmm..juniors did do quite well. xD just that perhaps jixiang should speak up more. abit too quiet le. and xinyi too! you can speak de. have more confidence in yourself! ((: oonhim did quite well ((: juniors! must jiayou k.
i always felt service day was fun okay! &this year, sharmie accomplished her mission of finishing all 5booklets. (ofcos we didn't give it to each household;spreading messages to 5households is so pathetically cheap) yea. so... wonderful and meaningful & even though i've lost half my voice by now, i'm very happy having provided such a sevice for the residents of Telok Blangah! :DDD

ok. after service day we gathered back in school and had a debrief then we were dismissed. & now, the horrifying period was about to begin. HSK! zzzzz...

we were frantically preparing in the NP room can. busy looking through all those sample papers and model answers. =/ like totally noooob! ok. so we chose to mug and not go have proper lunch ):
mugmugmug, then we packed up, had some bread over at the canteen and went for HSK.
oh the terror. i happened to sit right at the front beside the tcher's table -.- STRESS can.
&then the gruelling 3 hours of HSK begin.

listening was okay. except for the interview portion being super fast.
the comprehension part was ridiculously hard to finish on time.
the last part was super easy.
but throughout the entire paper i was sniffing and using lots of tissue -.-

we got a 10min break and continued on with oral.
yes. ORAL. evil piggies. want us to talk into recorders. zzzz...
it was so freaking unnatural luh. & i was very.. lol. i don't know. unable to express myself well. and half the time i was sniffing. URGH.
lousy day for HSK.
yea but whtever. the compo part was relatively easy. didn't have to think much to start writing. just had a main idea and went on to write, developing the essay's content along the way. super stressing exam.
we all agree that we spent 75bucks to suffer and waste time in this very crucial period nia... :[

ok. after HSK went to vivo with charms, jho, clarine, yiling and yueting. yiling left at the MRT station while charms bought bread and left with jho shortly. the rest of us went to harbourfront to grab dinner! :DD

at first we decided on Mc. and right outside i was saying "哎呀！我想吃 McSpicy 可是喉咙痛". &yueting actually forbade me to have Mc totally cos of that statement ):
i merely reminded myself i couldn't take McSpicy mah... )):
& i was begging here to go back to Mc! hahahaha. can't believe i did that.
&then we ended up struggling in the middle of nowhere. i was trying to anchor myself to the ground n she pulled so i was dragged along the ground! LOL. &darling yueting was laughing away can. LOLs. lousy ground. no friction. hahah. ok. so we were made to go eat foodcourt stuff.
evil right. but i still felt that sqdmate's very sweet. (:

so we were deciding which foodcourt to go. then we say the one on the third floor. cos baquet not rly nice. &clarine was happy with going up cos yueting said up thr got kopitiam. so clarine could use her card. so we went up, only to find out it was food junction. so clarine and i 不约而同ly exclaimed: "!it's Food Junction lor! eee.. cannot use card le!!"
hahahaha.

SUPER HILARIOUS.

almost died laughing. xDDDDD

&&foodcourting was fun. (:
after eating we chitchatted a lil', then left for home.

just wna say, whatever may ever happen, squadmates are the greatest supporting peers i've ever had and even if the whole world turned against us, we're gonna have each other (:
